Dr. Tatsuji Chuman and others (Japan Tobacco & Salt Public Corporation?E?former name of JT) identified structure of sex pheromone for tobacco beetle, SERRICORNIN, and synthesized it. |

Application for patent, "Sex pheromone lure" composed with 4,6-dimethyl-7-keto-nonan-3-ol and the compound concerned.
Introduction of pheromone trap for monitoring tobacco beetle, "SERRICO" into the market.
(This is the first commercial product as monitoring pheromone trap.) |
